| There's alot of talk about the NCHL expanding. But did you ever wonder how it started in the first place? In the beginning, our current President, Kevin, was just a tiny blip floating around in space. Suddenly he yelled really loud; "BANG!" And the NCHL was formed. It has been growing exponentially ever since, expanding out from the NIC all the way to Beban Park in the first minute of existence! And now some people say it will expand all the way to Parksville. Scientists worry that if this expansion continues, one day hockey players will be driving all the way to Port Alberni to play.
Fortunately, that is so far in the future, most of us won't be around for that. But for the sake of our children, and our children's children, please, we must find a way to slow down this runaway expansion of the league. There are only so many arenas to play in; we should preserve some ice-time for our descendants.... otherwise they will be living in a world where players far outnumber arenas, and ice-slots will become shorter and at unheard of start-times. thankyou all for listening.......  |
