| As far as splitting the topic, I wouldn't do it....it has forum members talking about the challenges with this league. This league will always have challenges with the disparity in talent. If you try to weed out the high talent, they won't be able to play hockey due to age restrictions, or the fact that the nohl is somewhat like a "old boys" club. To me, if you look at the standings, you see teams from 3rd to 9th all within striking distance. You are always going to have a team that is running away from the league (lucky) and the team at the bottom (icehogs). I understand that "mike is mike", and while playing goal in this league can be challenging, you should try to stick with it. The challenge in this league is focusing not necessarily on the good players, but stopping the average players (Lee). I like the point about players joining the league, and then don't play. If you can't play, go on the sub-list, and let someone who wants to play get the ice time. Every team should try using subs that you don't necessarily know. It always seems to be the same old guys. I don't understand the chirping at ref's. Unless your kidding around with him, giving a ref a hard time accomplishes nothing. You get a penalty, accept it, right or wrong, and watch the game from the box. Sincerely, your best pal...atg...

| Zamboni man: no, you don't have to split it up. All threads go off topic sooner or later.... Pucks: take away the pass is the general rule.... ATG: Mike: you have a lot to say, you should be a team rep. Alice: where the heck have you been? haven't seen ya around much lately..the boys at the steam room have been asking for you. Devilskeeper I will see you tonight at 8:15. Prepare for the slaughter. |

| good god what a great week of banter. I don't think that I have seen that much said since I started on the site. Its great. Looks like the are roasting up some tonight. don't burn the bacon too bad. If you feel generous or sympathetic you might wanna let their "C" score. I don't think it happens all too often, at least I haven't seen it first hand. . Could be a good netminder battle. |

| Dear Mr. Limburger I noticed you used the expression "good god" in a posting. I had no idea you were so religious. If you check your bible (which I am sure you use as a beer coaster), check out John 4:16, " and Jesus said onto the donkey, go down the mountain and smash your enemies, as the Chiefs rule." Amen... |

Personally i believe a big reason why players aren't coming to games even though they signed up is because of how late the games are this year. In all fairness to the league the league can only get the times given to it but the players who signed up at the start of the year. Those players had no clue that the times were going to be so late when they signed up because the sign up was in may. I think some issues such as myself jumping ship from playing in goal and players committing to the league and not showing up to games can be attributed to the sign up being to early in the year. Myself signing up in may i had at that point only played in goal for 4 months when i signed up and by the time the season started i had played 9 months because of summer hockey. I had gotten better during the summer and then when the season came i found out by mid season that i was not being challenged enough in goal. As for guys not showing up at games again they have to commit so early in the year without knowing what work is gonna be like and without knowing what is gonna come up come the fall. It should be suggested that the league move towards a sign up that is closer to the league start up. May be have an opening tournament in august or september then open up the signup the day after the tournament |
