1. Ice Hogs win 9 games this year

2. Devils lead the league in drinking and penalties

3. Mighty Pucks change there name to the Mediocre Pucks

4. The Orange Crush get crushed by every other team

5. The Navy team, now the Blue Thunder, still play like the Navy team

6. The Hornets still have no sting

7. The Maroon team is still disliked by the rest of the league

I'm new to the NCHL and I heard the expansion teams are still looking for reps. Is this true or have the reps been assigned? If not I would be interested. Thanks.

Hey guys. How about we erase the forum and start again? Keep the pertinent stuff; like the Team standings, and Parks and Rec news etc. but, maybe we should erase all the other junk and start over. I say this because of Puckhead's comments. He started off chastising us for all the off-topic banter, and now, after only three posts, he has joined the fray. Funny how Icehogs_55 predicted that....

Anyway, if we start over, maybe we can save Puckhead from becoming like the rest of us. Sarcasm and ...

NCHL Expansion

The wait list for the NCHL has now grown to over 50 players. As most players know, the NCHL wait list started filling shortly after 830am Monday morning. The entire league filled up with players in less 9 hours after registration began. This trend will only continue as this league becomes known throughout our community.

With the increasing popularity of the NCHL should we expand?

So year number 2 for the NCHL is over. Over the last two years we have seen an evolution in the officiating of our league. In year three we will have a greater involvement in how our games are called We need to have input from all players involved. Defense, Forwards and Goalies all experience a different aspects of the game and all have a different view.

We should attempt to gain a consensus of what players want.

NCHL Expansion

With the increasing demand for joining the NCHL we should look at the possibility of expanding. The biggest obstacle is the availability of ice and this could overcome this by renting ice in Parksville.

The advantages of expanding,

1. More teams = more bargaining power in Nanaimo for ice.

2. The ability to split into two or more divisions.

3. More ice time/games.

4. More membership = bigger, stronger, financially sound organization.

shocker shootout tourney

hey guys letin ya know that the shocker shootout tourney, the last weekend in march is almost full only 4 spots left.

its a good tourney and with our league tourney still in the works i think some teams should take advantage of this red and grey are puting a team in.

so are the icemen our 3rd year.

some teams from parksville casual league will be attending as well.
